Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 fat content
  • 1 jalapeño sliced, seeds removed for less heat
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese roughly chopped
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • ¼ cup Cheddar Jack cheese
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 handful fresh spinach washed and dried
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional additional sliced jalapeños for topping

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, cumin, sliced jalapeño, and chopped cheddar.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 even-sized burger patties.
  3. Refrigerate the patties for 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. In another bowl, mix cream cheese and Cheddar Jack to make the filling.
  5. Heat a skillet or grill and cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side.
  6. While patties cook, fry onions and extra jalapeños until golden.
  7. Place patties on buns, top with cheese mixture, fried jalapeños, and onions.
  8. Add spinach and other desired toppings, then serve hot.
