Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken Wingettes or Drumettes Chicken sections for nibbles
  • 2 tablespoons Honey For sweetness and glaze consistency
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce light and dark Adds saltiness and color
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar Adds a tangy balance
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced, for a rich flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Oil vegetable or olive For even browning

Equipment

  • Oven or Baking Tray
  • Ziploc bag or bowl (for marinating)
  • Foil (to line the tray)
  • Basting brush

Method

  1. Prepare the Marinade: Mix honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and garlic in a bowl. Pour the marinade over chicken in a Ziploc bag or bowl. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for deeper flavor.
  2. Bake the Chicken Nibbles: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Arrange chicken nibbles in a single layer on a foil-lined tray. Bake for 30 minutes, then drain the excess juices to ensure the glaze thickens.
  3. Finish the Glaze: After draining, lower the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F) and bake for another 30 minutes. Baste the nibbles with the reserved marinade every 10 minutes to ensure an even caramelized glaze.
  4. Serve: Once the chicken is golden and crispy, remove from the oven and serve immediately.
